2-time All-MVL football performer and made Honorable Mention All-Ohio in 1954. The three-sport athlete was also All-Ohio in baseball, playing all four seasons, and All-MVL in basketball where he helped the Electrics to state Runner-Up honors in 1953. He served in the US Marine Corps. from 1955-58, All Second Marine Division, playing on the football team in 1958 and scoring 60 points to lead the team.
